Ajattelimme, että etsimme Venlalle sijoituskodin kun se näytti 3kk iässä todella lupaavalta naaraalta. Toistaiseksi sopivaa sijoituskotia ei ole löytynyt, joten näyttää siltä että Venla tulee jäämään meille kotiin ihan pysyvästi. Itse asiassa olemme jopa onnellisia siitä että alkuperäinen suunnitelma ei toiminut ;-) Venla on yksi kookkaimmista metsäkissanaaraista (ikäisekseen) mitä olemme nähneet - vankkaluinen ja 4 kiloa jo 7 kk iässä. Jopa tuomaritkin ovat jaelleet ihailevia kommentteja sisaruksistamme. Näyttelyuralla Venla on jäänyt Ville-veljensä varjoon pentu- ja nuortenluokissa, joten mielenkiinnolla odotamme miten ura kehittyy sisarusten aloittaessa aikuisten luokissa. Ja hieno aloitushan tässä on nyt saatu - ensimmäinen viikonloppu aikuisissa (19.-20.6.2004) on jo takana ja kotiin päästiin 2x CAC, 2x BIV, 2x NOM kera.
Venlalla on jälkeläisiä.
Pentue #1: 29.10.2005 kissalassa syntyi 5 pentua. Pentueen isänä on EC S* Animaniac's Terry Talebearer (n0924), omistaja S* Vimmerskogen's-kissala Ruotsissa. Menetimme yhden pennun jo synnytyksessä ja toisen pari päivää synnytyksen jälkeen (diagnoosi: kehittymättömät keuhkot). Tuloksena pennut: Empathic Emily (f0924), Enigmatic Erin (n0924) ja Endearing Earl (d0324).
Pentue #2: Omassa FIN* FluffyTail's kissalassamme Pirkko Penttisen ja Matti Lyhteilän omistaman Sveitsin tuontikollin EC Haendel de la Forge*CH :en (NFO n 23) kanssa 29.6.2006. Tuloksena pennut: Het Haendelina (f0923), Heftig Haendel (d0924) ja Herlig Hjördis (n0923).
Pentue #3: Omassa FIN* FluffyTail's kissalassamme sijoituksessa olevan kollimme GIC FIN* FluffyTail's Beau Beryllium :in (NFO ns 09 22 [ns0322]) kanssa 28.1.2007. Tuloksena pennut: Kasey Kelvin (ns03), Kaylee Katal (n0322), Kane Kilowatt (es0322), Kerry Kip (f0922), Kameron Knot (e0322) ja Kelly Karat (f0221).
When Venla was 3 months old she looked so promising to us that we planned on giving her as host cat to suitable home. So far we have not been able to find such a place so it looks like she will stay with us for good. Actually we are quite happy that the original plan did not work out ;-) Venla is one of the biggest norwegian forest cat females (of her age) that we have seen - strongboned and 4 kilos at age of 7 months. Even judges have given many compliments about our littermates. Venla has been in the shadow of his brother Ville during their show careers (Ville usually being valued higher), so we are very interested in seeing how her show career develops when they both move to adult classes. And we got a nice start with her show career - first adult show weekend (19.-20.6.2004) and she got 2x CAC, 2x BIV and 2x NOM.
Venla has offspring.
Litter #1: On October 29th, 2005 five kittens were born in our own cattery with stud EC S* Animaniac's Terry Talebearer (n0924) owned by S* Vimmerskogen's cattery. Unfortunately we lost one kitten already during delivery and another few days after birth (diagnosis: underdeveloped lungs). Result 3 kittens: Empathic Emily (f0924), Enigmatic Erin (n0924) and Endearing Earl (d0324).
Litter #2: On June 29th, 2006 three kittens were born in our own cattery with Swiss import stud EC Haendel de la Forge*CH (n23) owned by Pirkko Penttisen and Matti Lyhteilä. Result 3 kittens: Het Haendelina (f0923), Heftig Haendel (d0924) and Herlig Hjördis (n0923).
Litter #3: On January 28th, 2007 six kittens were born in our own cattery with our host stud GIC FIN* FluffyTail's Beau Beryllium (NFO ns 09 22 [ns0322]). Result 6 kittens: Kasey Kelvin (ns03), Kaylee Katal (n0322), Kane Kilowatt (es0322), Kerry Kip (f0922), Kameron Knot (e0322) and Kelly Karat (f0221).
